Corner Cafe - Glenwood

Saturdays are our days to explore, drink good coffee, eat yummy treats, and just relax after the week. We are both usually exhausted after a Friday night at youth and so upon waking up from a lazy morning sleep in we prefer to get out and have some fun. This last Saturday we decided to take a trip to one of my all time favourites, Corner Cafe.    

Corner Cafe is in Glenwood and is a real Durban winner. It’s chilled vibe caters to young and old and the outside area is perfect for kids. The team serve a delicious spread of breakfast, brunch or lunch options and their baked goods are to die for. On Saturday we let all inhibitions go as we scoffed on the chocolatey goodness of their brownies. I will admit that my combination of Chai Tea and Chocolate Brownie was a great treat for the day 🙂 

Sometimes I think we all need a little devotion to a place that has great tastes, delicious smells and a mellow vibe. This, in my opinion, is the epitome of Corner Cafe. 

So on our Saturday outing we sat and read the newspaper, chatted about frivolous desires and spent a quality morning in each others company. We mozied (mow-zeed) around the Cafe, looking at the treats and homemade good they had on offer, all the while rejuvenating our souls and senses. All in all I would say it was a day well spent, and would recommend this spot to anyone in Durban, or visiting Durban or the Glenwood area.
