High Tea at The Oyster Box

I have recently celebrated my birthday and a friend of mine treated me to the indulgent High Tea at The Oyster Box in Umhlanga. I had always wanted to experience this afternoon soiree, as I could only imagine the cakes and treats on offer. Well was I blown away!

We arrived and our table was beautifully laid out with a rose tea set and spread out in front of us was a table stacked with savoury side and sweet deliciousness. From spring rolls, to pates, mini quiches, sandwiches and platters of cheeses, then moving on to tarts, scones, chocolate cake, coffee mousse cake, and sweet jars a plenty. Mouthwatering, delectable goodness stood before us.

We sipped on tea and refilled our plates a number of times, while we caught up and made plans for future travels and adventures. High Tea at The Oyster Box is such a special experience. There is something so magical about sitting in that conservatory with the light beaming in from the high windows above, serving tea from a tea pot and munching on double chocolate cake.
