Mission Samsung Challenge 2 has been SUCH fun, as this challenge we got to choose between Healthy Fried Food or Baking Bliss. Of course I went with option 2, Baking Bliss.
So for this challenge I pulled out all the stops and made Choc Chip Nougat Cookies. This recipe is super easy and quick to make. Plus the up side of having the Microwave Smart Oven is that the bake time is also shorter. Love it!
So here’s what you need to do…
Mix 1 cup of brown sugar together with 1 cup soft butter and a tsp of vanilla essence.
Then mix in 1 egg.
Sift in 2 cups of flour and 1tsp baking powder.
Add a pinch of salt
Finally mix in chopped up dark chocolate pieces (1 slab) and nougat.
I used macadamia nut nougat which added a crunch to the cookies.
Now for the best part - I recently bought myself a cookie embosser pack, with which I can make my own cookie stamps. I had great fun stamping Mission Samsung into these cookies. Then on placing them on the oven plate I simply pressed the smart cook button twice, on the Microwave Smart Oven, and chose 2-11 and voila… they started to bake.
When the microwave beeped to tell me they were ready I was worried they weren’t cooked through, but on allowing to cool they hardened up and were absolutely PERFECT!
On a Thursday night my husband and I lead a student bible study and so I packed a box full on Choc Chip Nougat Cookies and surprised them with these delicious treats. They were too happy, as you can see by the pictures below.
