Roast Re:public

For a while I had heard about Roast Re:public and that they were all about coffee with a concscience. But it was only once I had read up about them and met with Matt Carter in JHB that I realised just how passionate Roast Republic are about making a difference using coffee.

I recently wrote an article about Roast Re:public’s Literacy Development Programs in Limpopo and was blown away when researching. These guys are all talk and ALL action.
So what happened was that Roast Republic, together with Ledile (a lady living in rural Limpopo), identified that education is the most powerful weapon to change the world.

The intervention programs are aimed at identifying issues amongst pupils that are holding them back from developing in their literacy and numeracy ability.

All you have to do to support programs like these is drink Roast Re:public coffee. You can find their coffee at a number of local cafes and retail stores and you can order it online from Cape Coffee Beans and the likes. Here’s a list of where to find them - LIST.

Roast Re:public sell a blend of Tanzanian, Guatemalan and Indonesian coffee, but look out for the odd Single Origin bean available.
