Before my visit to Cape Town I had only ever tasted Tribe Coffee at Durban restaurant, Republik. So obviously when planning my CT coffee adventures Tribe Coffee was high up on the list. There are two Tribe Coffee shops in Cape Town, the HQ in Woodstock and their newest coffee shop at the BMW Bike store in town.
Tribe Coffee have an awesome roastery at their HQ in Woodstock, where they roast single origin beans from all over the world. They also roast a delicious house blend that exudes flavours of chocolate, truffle oil, hazelnuts, cinnamon, roasted chestnuts and candied red cherries.
Tribe Coffee are committed to producing great coffee and training baristas to make coffee well. Their passion is what has been a massive part of growing the specialty coffee industry in South Africa.
